Nectar performance to air to millions!

Nectar's CD release performance at Barrymore's Music Hall is set to air to over 1.5 million homes in Ontario this Fall. The sold-out show to celebrate the release of Nectar's second CD "SOMEWHERE THAT WAY", was filmed by Rogers and was recorded, mixed and mastered by James Law and Marty Jones at Distortion Studios. The show, originally destined to air on Roger's local Front Row Centre program, has been selected to air across the entire network to over 1.5 million homes across Ontario. The performance features songs from the new CD, songs from "AMBROSIA" as well as guest performances by Jay-Ess, Jonny O and more. Lighting and set design by Simon Clark.

The Ottawa airtime is currently set for Saturday, October 5, 2002 at 11 PM on Rogers Cable channel.

Nectar to headline Capital City Beer Festival

Nectar will headline Friday night at this year's Capital City Beer Festival, held in downtown Ottawa on Friday, June 21, 2002. Nectar takes the stage at 7:30 PM.

TICKETS can be purchased in advance through select Beer Stores and TicketMaster for $17 (surcharges apply at TicketMaster). Tickets can also be purchased for $20 at the Festival gates. Each visitor will receive ten sampling tickets, a souvenir-sampling cup and a commemorative festival program.

Feature Nectar interview - Calgary's CJAY 92 FM

Nectar will be featured on Calgary radio station CJAY FM 92.1 on Monday, April 8 at 11 PM CALGARY TIME, which would be 1:00 a.m. Ottawa time.

Nectar will be featured in a half-hour interview on CJAY's "On the Verge" program with host Stone Malone. They'll be spinning 'Modern Making', 'Red Sands', 'Incognito' and 'Supermodel'. "Modern Making" added across Canada!

Nectar's first single "Modern Making" has been added to radio stations across the country. From BC to the East Coast, the new single is out on the airwaves, so please contact your local rock station and request Modern Making!

XFM 101.1 have started playing "Red Sands" along with "Modern Making". So now you can call and request either song.

Nectar chosen as one of the top 12 hottest unsigned bands in Canada by CMW!

Nectar has been chosen to represent Ottawa as one of the hottest unsigned acts in Canada at this year's Canadian Music Week conference held in Toronto. We'll be showcasing at The Roundhouse, Steam Whistle Brewery on Saturday, March 2, 2002. Showcase begins at 8 PM.

Nectar drummer sober?!

Nectar drummer Gerard Tweedie surprised bandmates and press alike when he announced that he had recently enjoyed a 12-hour sober streak.

Bandmate Greg Sherlock was heard to announce

"Wow, that's amazing. If I had a watch, I could tell you exactly when that period was, but I don't so I'd have to guess. By the way, do you have the time? I'm supposed to be at rehearsal at...oh sh*t...cya!"
